Andrew Stravitz, LMFT

Andrew Stravitz is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and an Episcopal priest. He holds an M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary and an M.A. in Theology from Trinity International University. He is a native Phoenician, has been in ministry for over twenty years, and has done clinical work for seven years.

He works with couples and families who are capable in most areas of their lives and stuck in this one — where the arguments have become tired, trust has been worn out, and where two people who once chose each other have quietly stopped trying. He also offers extended intensives for couples in an acute season, when weekly sessions aren't enough runway.

He is a husband, a father, and a washed-up athlete — but at the core he's learning to lead into life's second half with the same honesty as his clients. In session, Andrew is a collaborator. He helps clients turn toward fear, failure, and fragility instead of away, on the conviction that the examined life is curious, courageous, and compassionate. He draws on Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

For clients who want it, he can work at the intersection of faith and marriage with genuine theological depth. For those who don't, it never comes up.
